“Our little star”: Netizens react as BTS' Taehyung’s late pet Yeontan becomes ‘Most Beloved Pet in the World’ as per 94.56% votes on Billboard poll

BTS' Taehyung recently made waves after his late pet dog Yeontan was crowned the "Most Beloved Pet in the World." As reported by South Korean news outlet Naver, the BTS idol’s Pomeranian got 94.56% votes on a Billboard poll, beating out other popular pets belonging to global pop stars like Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, and Billie Eilish.

Fans of Taehyung were glad to see Yeontan receiving the highest votes on Billboard Poll. Consequently, his fans flooded the internet with their admiration for the late pet. One user on X commented:

"Yeontan, you will always be loved, our little star."

While some said that Yeontan deserved this recognition, others referred to it as "shining little star."

“He's our shining little star We love our tannie so much,” a fan said.

Some said that they miss Taehyung's beloved dog, while others said that Yeontan was V's whole world.

Kim Taehyung divulged the news of Yeontan’s passing in December 2024

The news of Yeontan's demise was made public on December 2, 2024, after Taehyung shared multiple stories and photos honoring his dog via Instagram. He also shared a note mentioning his pet.

“The reason I decided to post this message today is because, recently, Yeontan (my dog) embarked on a long journey to the stars. I thought a lot about how to share this news with you, but I felt that it was right to let ARMYs, who have sent so much love to Yeontan, know, so I’m sharing this news now. I believe Yeontan would feel happy if ARMYs also remember him fondly as he sets off on this journey.” BTS’ Taehyung wrote.

ARMYs were initially introduced to Taehyung's black-and-tan Pomeranian during Jin's birthday broadcast on December 4, 2017. Ever since then, his pet made appearances in a plethora of media, including photoshoots and live broadcasts.
