J. Cole is still a Kanye West fan, despite the latter's recent string of seething remarks against him.

The rapper's comments come on the heels of Ye's seething remarks about him on April 1. In his latest rant on X, Ye declared that he hates J. Cole's music, and in response, Cole credited Kanye as one of his biggest influences on his hit single "Work Out."

During his headlining set at the Dreamville Festival on Sunday, he reflected on how he was listening to "The New Workout Plan" from Ye's The College Dropout when he got inspired, noting that it prompted him to create the lead single, "Work Out," from this 2011 debut album Cole World: The Sideline Story.

“I know n****s feel a way about him right now, but I got love for [Ye] and I really appreciate him. He cleared all these f***ing samples for me. I ran back to the other room. It’s like it spoke to me,” he said, recounting how he felt of the samples.

Everything we know about the beef between Kanye West and J. Cole as the former doubles down on his disses:

During his rant on April 1, Kanye West slammed J. Cole:

“I hate J Cole music so much,” West said. “It’s like between Kendrick and J Cole I bet you industry plants asked J Cole to diss Drake then we would have been accosted with a J Cole Super Bowl commercial with no SZA song to save it. No one listens to J Cole after loosing [sic] their virginity,” he wrote.

The Chicago native also slammed Drake for allegedly “hurting hip-hop” by helping J. Cole with his career.

“When I met up with Drake during Donda most of the convo was me telling him he was hurting hip hop by giving J Cole a platform and I was saying how much I loved Future,” he added.

Kanye West and J. Cole have had a tumultuous relationship. More recently, Kanye added a line to his "Like That" remix about J. Cole, rapping, “Play J. Cole get the p***y dry.” For his part, Cole slammed back in his 2016's "False Prophets" track as well as 2019's "Middle Child."

In other news, West, 48, has been stirring up a frenzy online for his rants on X, most of which exhibit antisemitic sentiments. He recently doubled down on his appreciation for Hitler when he was spotted wearing a Swastika shirt and chain.
