Jung Ho-seok, or J-Hope, is one of the most recent members of BTS to have completed his mandatory military service back in October. Now, J-Hope is back on the stage bigger than ever. He is currently on tour and was performing in the US a day ago. His last performance was on April 6, 2025, at the BMO Stadium in Los Angeles.
J-Hope seems to be enjoying touring the world immediately after his military service. So far, the Hope on the Stage Tour has covered three countries: South Korea, the United States, and Mexico.
Right before his shows in L.A., the Los Angeles Times managed to schedule an interview with Ho-seok. They chatted with him about his previous and most recent works, his American nickname 'Jay', and the fact that he is the first individual Korean male artist to headline the BMO Stadium. J-Hope is also the first Korean male artist to headline a show in a stadium in the US, to which he stated:
"It’s such an honor to have so many of my songs on the chart, and I’m incredibly grateful in so many ways. I’ve come to realize how many people are loving and connecting with my music, and at the same time, that pushes me to think about what kind of music I should create next as an artist. I feel that my life at the moment is filled with greater anticipation and excitement for what’s to come," the Mona Lisa singer answered.

L.A. Times asked J-Hope how he feels about the upcoming show that he will be performing at the BMO Stadium. They also asked him if he had ever imagined this would be his life one day. To this, Hobi said:
"Of course I could not have imagined back then that I would have this kind of life and I really appreciate what I have currently. As time passes by, I’m really grateful to see more and more people listening to and enjoying my music. I feel like it’s their support and passion that allow me to be the artist I am today," J-Hope said.
The outlet also noted how the Korean singer and rapper seems to be enjoying himself on the Hope on the Stage Tour. They asked him to share a few moments that stood out to him whenever he performed =Equal Sign with his fans. Hobi explained:
"I wanted to show something great for the fans who’ve been waiting for such a long time and I wanted to connect at a very personal level through these concerts and performances. There’s a song called “=Equal Sign.” and its first lyric is about how we view each other as equals — “There is no one above us/There is no one under us.”
He continues:
"Staying true to that message, instead of me being on stage on a higher level with the audience below, I wanted to truly connect with my fans by engaging with them directly and seeing them eye-to-eye. This connection with my fans has been incredibly meaningful," J-Hope concluded.
J-Hope's return to the stage after returning from the military marks a powerful new chapter in his professional life. His moments on tour are not just a part of the show but are filled with the desire to connect with his fans on a deeper level.
