Addison Rae stuns in her new images where she is sporting the Protect The Dolls’ tee.

Singer Addison Rae was spotted wearing the ‘Protect The Dolls’ tee in her recent photo. Fans were quick to notice and praise the star, who is of TikTok fame, due to the message behind the T-shirt. Besides being iconic, the ‘Protect The Dolls’ tee holds a much deeper significance.

London-based designer Conner Ives is the mastermind behind these t-shirts. At the end of his autumn/winter 2025 show in February, Connor, who is known as one of the brightest design talents in London at this time, came out wearing this new simple design to take a bow. The designer who is known for his upcycled cool girl t-shirt dresses, wanted to send a clear message that he stands in solidarity with the LGBTQ+ community, specifically with trans women, who are affectionately called “dolls.”

Though unintended, the t-shirt gained momentum and a life of its own as popular celebrities across the world started sporting the tee to show their support. Some notable industry names, including Addison, who were spotted donning this garment, are Pedro Pascal, who has a trans sister; Troye Sivan, while guest starring at Charli XCX's set during Coachella last week; and designer Haider Ackermann.

Troye's appearance in the shirt helped sell 200 pieces of the T-shirt in less than 24 hours. When asked about this backstage, Troye expressed:

"As much as we are in peril, I didn’t want to create a show that created the feeling of peril. I’ve been so nurtured and supported by such beautiful and incredible women. I wouldn’t be here right now if it wasn’t for the dolls."

The scene for trans women in London is extremely dire right now. Recently, the UK Supreme Court ruled on the definition of a woman, where five judges unanimously decided that the definition of a woman in the Equality Act 2010 did not include transgender women. This marked a huge setback for the community and has given rise to more homophobia in the UK.

Connor, who is of American descent, didn't set out to create a political statement, as he strives to keep politics and fashion separate. However, he told Vogue:

"But there was a shift in the last six months where that level of compartmentalization just didn’t really feel relevant anymore. When I think of the challenges that trans people in the States are facing right now, I just keep thinking about how scared I was when I was a 12-year-old gay white boy in an upper-middle-class suburb of New York City, let alone a trans girl in the middle of America under an administration that’s basically telling her that she doesn’t exist."

Fans react to Addison Rae's look

Fans were quick to support Addison and be grateful for proving that she is an ally as she wore the shirt so casually.

"No one can make me hate her,"- one fan said.
One fan dramatized,- "I need this shirt so bad especially when my mother uploads a picture wearing it and no you didn’t read this wrong! addison rae gave birth to me, she is one of the greatest artists of this generation and i will always stan her…"
Another followed the sentiment,- "This photo cured my seasonal depression and protected the dolls at the same time."
While one user furthered the message,- "When Addison Rae wears a tee, it’s not just fashion—it’s a movement. Protect the dolls!"

Addison Rae has been popping off in the headlines for the past year with reinventing her music style, new releases, guest appearances at concerts and collaborating with artists like Charli XCX. The singer is currently preparing for her upcoming debut album and has just released the fourth song from the tracklist, called Headphones on. Ever since signing on with Columbia Records in 2024, the rising star has released three singles, including her charting fan favourite Diet Pepsi. The debut album is set to release on June 6.

Addison Rae even made two guest appearances this Coachella. In weekend one, she joined Arca on stage and the two played a rendition of the pop star's song Aquamarine, renamed Arcamarine. On weekend two Rae joined Charli XCX for her vocals on the Brat song Von Dutch.
