On April 18, 2025, Chris Martin gave a shoutout to BTS before performing their song My Universe at the concert. The K-pop boy band and British rock band debuted their collaborative track My Universe in 2022.

During the shoutout, Chris Martin mentioned the names of all members of the K-pop group and also highlighted the ongoing South Korean military terms. Chris celebrated Jin, Jimin, Jungkook, Taehyung, Namjoon, and SUGA ahead of the group’s performance on My Universe.

“We gotta play this for our brothers in the army. Jin, Jimin, Jungkook J-hope', V, Suga, RM. We love you. We miss you,” Coldplay’s Chris Martin said.

Fans of the seven-member K-pop band were impressed with their mention during Coldplay’s concert. As a result, they flooded the internet with their praises for both music groups and their pleasant bond. One user on X commented:

While some anticipated another collaborative work between the two groups, others said Chris Martin’s gesture was truly heartwarming. Another fan said that they share the most beautiful bond.

Some said that the two groups are like besties, while others alluded to them as Kings. One of them expected to see Jin and J-hope at Coldplay’s concert as they have finished their military duties.

Coldplay also gave a shoutout to BTS’ Jin’s solo album HAPPY

On November 21, 2024, Coldplay hailed BTS' Jin's debut solo album, HAPPY. Coldplay expressed their love and support for BTS' Jin's debut album by posting the HAPPY cover art to their X account and Instagram story. On X, Coldplay added a caption to the cover image that read:

“We love HAPPY. Congrats + love to our brother Jin”

Kim Seokjin’s solo record, HAPPY, was dropped on November 15, 2024, after his military discharge in June.

As of this writing, only Seokjin and Hobi (J-Hope) have finished up their respective military duties in 2024. The remaining members, namely Jungkook, RM, SUGA, V, and Jimin, are projected to be released by June 2025.
