Rapper and music producer Kanye West’s recent slew of rants on the social media platform X has left his fans as well as his detractors concerned. West went on a diatribe on March 18, alleging that he and fellow rapper and frequent collaborator Playboi Carti “beat women.”
West’s post also included a reference to Sean “Diddy” Combs, a music executive currently in prison awaiting trial for s*xual misconduct, racketeering, and transportation with the intent of pr*****ution.
On the night of March 18, West took to X to write,
“CARTI BEAT WOMEN I BEAT WOMEN BUT EVERYBODY HATE DIDDY”

West’s controversial claims come in the wake of the serious allegations against Combs, who has been accused of allegedly attacking his then-girlfriend Cassie Ventura. A 2016 video of the alleged assault was released by CNN last year. West, however, did not clarify his statements.
Kanye West, in a previous post on X, had called Carti a “women beater,” alongside a screenshot of an alleged text message conversation between the two rappers. West singled out Carti in the post, writing,
“CARTI A WOMEN BEATER TOLD ME TO STOP TWEETING ABOUT N—I’S WHY DO BROKE N—-S ALWAYS TRY TELL ME WHAT TO DO? OH I FORGOT TJE J—S SAY ITS OK TO MAKE EVERY SONG ABOUT MURDER BUT THEN THEY TELL THIS N—-A TO MAKE SUGGESTIONS TO ME”
West’s initial tirade implicating Carti also involved numerous anti-Semitic statements. This is not new for the musician though, recently, he has been in the news for posting anti-Semitic comments incessantly on X.

In his posts claiming he and Carti “beat women,” Kanye West was perhaps referring to Carti’s brief imprisonment following a violent incident in December 2022.
Carti was arrested for allegedly choking his then-pregnant girlfriend, according to TMZ. As per arrest records obtained by TMZ, Carti was accused of physically attacking his 14-week pregnant girlfriend during a fight regarding the alleged paternity of the unborn child.
Carti's lawyer had denied the allegations against the rapper at the time in a statement given to TMZ.
As for West himself, the rapper had also confessed to allegedly hitting women in a post on X last month, according to Complex. At the time, West had gone on a long rant, writing about alleged domestic abuse cases involving other rappers and music producers, including the imprisoned Diddy Combs and Kendrick Lamar. As per Complex’s coverage, West began his long rant by writing,
“Let me start by saying I have hit women before”
Kanye West releases new album Bully amid ranting tirades on X
While Kanye West was busy making shocking claims of physical abuse against women on X, the rapper also took time out to release his newest album, Bully.
The album was released alongside a short film directed by West and edited by Hype Williams. According to Variety, the film accompanying Bully stars West’s son, Saint West, who he shares with reality TV star Kim Kardashian.

In a recent interview with Justin Laboy, West declared that his son was the inspiration behind the album’s title, saying,
“My son was playing with some kid and then he kicked him, and I asked my son like ‘why you do that,’ he said ‘cuz he weak.’ And I was like ‘this man is really a bully right here’”
Kanye West released the Bully film via his X account on March 18. Before and after posting the Bully film on X, West also wrote disturbing posts about Beyoncé and Jay-Z's children.
