Singer and guitarist Bruce Springsteen’s biopic Deliver Me From Nowhere will be released this year. On April 18, 2025, he sat down with Variety’s Awards Circuit Podcast, where he shared his thoughts about the upcoming biopic. Speaking about his initial reaction to the idea of the biopic, he said:

“They pitched the idea, and I said, ‘it sounds like fun.’ It’s an interesting concept, because it’s only a couple of years out of my life. It’s ’81, ’82, and centered around the creation of that particular record while I was simultaneously recording ‘Born in the USA’ and also going through some personal difficulties that I’ve been living with my whole life. But it’s fantastic.”

Bruce Springsteen shared that he was on tour for much of the filming, so a large part of it was done without him. However, he was present on set at times and found it fascinating to watch everything come together.

Visiting a recreation of his grandmother’s house and experiencing the atmosphere from his early childhood brought back memories, and he appreciated those moments. His role in the biopic is played by Jeremy Allen White.

In January 2025, conversing with SiriusXM E Street Radio’s Jim Rotolo, Bruce Springsteen reflected on what it felt like to watch Jeremy Allen portray a younger version of himself. He admitted it felt a little odd at first, but he quickly got used to it. He praised Jeremy’s acting, saying he captured a version of him that fans would likely connect with.

Jeremy Allen White said he had Bruce Springsteen's support for his role

Bruce Springsteen felt White had a strong voice, saying the casting was done well, and he found the entire experience exciting. In 2024, Jeremy Allen White sat down with GQ Magazine to discuss his role in the biopic. He reflected on how jeans were a part of Springsteen’s identity, saying:

“He's a jeans and T-shirt kind of guy. It was exciting to know going into this thing that we had at least that in common.”

When asked how he got into character to play Bruce Springsteen, Jeremy Allen White said he was fortunate to have a skilled team helping him train with music and vocals for the role. He also appreciated having Bruce’s support for the project and even got the chance to interact with him, describing him as a genuinely great person.

He added that watching old videos of Springsteen, including both performances and interviews, helped him study his voice and mannerisms. Overall, he found the preparation process enjoyable.

While conversing with Zach Bryan on Musicians on Musicians by Rolling Stone in October 2024, Bryan asked Bruce Springsteen about his excitement for the biopic. Springsteen shared that he had read the script but didn't comment much as the biopic was in its initial phase back then.

However, he looked forward to seeing it come to life and thought the story would be intriguing. When Bryan mentioned how surprising it must be to have a movie made about a part of your life, Springsteen agreed and said the script turned out well, and he felt positive about the entire project.
