The 22-year-old American singer-songwriter Benson Boone just entered the Spotify billions club with his 2024 hit track "Beautiful Things," which recently reached two billion streams on the platform. With 49,734,553 monthly active listeners, Boone is one of the most-streamed music artists on Spotify.
The young popstar, who once appeared on American Idol in 2021, withdrew voluntarily after competing briefly. He gained significant popularity on TikTok and eventually signed a contract with Night Street Records, founded by the frontman of Imagine Dragons, Dan Reynolds, which operates in partnership with Warner Records.
After dropping successful singles like "Ghost Town" and "In The Stars," which were released in 2021 and 2022, respectively, Boone released "Beautiful Things" in 2024, which topped the charts in multiple countries, including France, the United Kingdom, Germany, Australia, Norway, and others.
"Beautiful Things" also turned out to be his first song to make it in the top 5 on the US Billboard Hot 100, ranking in the second position. Not to mention, it was also the most-streamed song globally in 2024.
According to RochesterFirst.com, the Grammy Award-nominated pop star is scheduled to perform at the CMAC (Constellation Brands-Marvin Sands Performing Arts Center) on June 5, 2025, in New York's Canandaigua.
The CMAC is widely known for hosting some of the most renowned performers and is also quite popular for its summer concert series. The world-class outdoor amphitheater has hosted some of the biggest names in music history, including Bob Dylan, Ringo Starr, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Hans Zimmer, and several others.

Benson Boone is about to receive a BMI Champion Award

Besides being nominated for a Grammy Award, Benson Boone has received other accolades, such as the MTV Music Video Award, Billboard Music Award, MTV Europe Music Award, and a few others. However, according to Variety, Boone will be honored with a BMI Champion Award on May 13 at the 2025 BMI (Broadcast Music, Inc.) Pop Awards will take place at the luxurious Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills, California.
As per the VP of BMI Worldwide Creative, Barbara Cane, Benson will be recognized "as one of today's most exciting hitmakers." The BMI executive said:
"Benson Boone has reshaped the global soundscape of culture and music with an indomitable spirit and love of craft, artistry, and performance."
