Kpop group EXO's member Kai's upcoming album generates a hilarious reaction from fans as they exclaim:
“Almost thought this was an ad for IKEA”
EXO's member Kai, whose real name is Kim Jong-in, is coming out with his 4th mini album Wait On Me on April 21, according to the group's official social media. This is the singer's first release since his mandatory military service.
According to the image of the cover shared, it seems the concept revolves around two versions of him, with minor similarities and differences in their appearance and aura. While one looks aloof and more put together, the other has a more unkempt look and menacing energy to him.
Reports his comeback first came up in March until SM confirmed this with their own statement:
"Kai is preparing a new mini-album with the goal of making a comeback in April. He will be filming the music video for his new song next week. Please look forward to it."
This comes exactly 2 years after his 3rd mini album, Rover. Not only this, he definitely wants to make a bang this year as he is set for his first solo tour, KAION, with the tour beginning in Seoul and continuing to multiple Asian cities, including Macau, Jakarta, Singapore, Manila, Bangkok, Yokohama, Hong Kong and so on.

Devoted fans who've been waiting for this much-awaited release share hilarious reactions to the album art. Though most share joy and excitement over the release:
"KAI is back! 🔥His new single Wait On Me drops on April 21st. get ready for another masterpiece!,"- one fan said.
"KAI’s back and the stage missed him. ‘Wait On Me’ isn’t just a title, it’s what fans have done for 2 years straight,"- another said.
One user also commented,- "The hype is real. KAI is coming back stronger than ever."

Others made a hilarious observation. Fans with a keen eye compared the new logo, a yellow oval with "KAI" written in the same colour and a powder blue background, to the Ikea logo.

This is the Rover singer's first comeback after 2 years. He completed his enlistment as of February 10, 2025, according to his agency, SM Entertainment, while it began in May 2023. He had quite a sudden enlistment, as he himself expressed, and served as a social service agent.
