The K-pop boy group EXO is celebrating its 13th anniversary today, with fans, collectively known as EXO-Ls, sharing their excitement across social media.
On X (formerly Twitter), multiple tags are being used to commemorate this major milestone, such as “13 Years With EXO,” “EXO 13th Anniversary,” and “We Are One And Thirteen,” among others. Some are also posting fan-made edits and clips that capture the group’s journey through the years.
“13 YEARS ON EXO PLANET,” fanbase account @EXOGlobal wrote on X. They also shared a digital scrapbook featuring a calendar marking April 8, excerpts from EXO's music videos, and clips of the members enjoying themselves at their previous concerts.
Meanwhile, user @WWEXOL took to X to share their love for the group, saying:
“To EXO, Thank you for following your dreams & sharing your youth with us. We are so proud of what you have achieved. We will continue to stand with you, now and forever. We are One, EXO 사랑하자.”
Another supporter, @cloud_6104, expressed nostalgia in her tweet, stating,
“From celebrating their first debut anniversary to my 13th year with them. My youth is called EXO. Thank you for bringing color and happiness to my life EXO. I love you.”
For @brasoniloey, EXO is their home.
“They say that sometimes home can be a person that can make you feel safe and happy. And I found them 13 years ago, and after 13 years, I'm still in my home.”
"To EXO my loves, you are the best thing that has ever happened in my life. Thank you for debuting and making the world more beautiful with your amazing talent. I’ll love you forever,” @TaranomL wrote.
“No matter how many of you guys stand on stage, as long as you carry the name EXO with you, I will always be there to support you. Thank you for 13 wonderful years with you!” @cheneunim said.
Suho celebrates EXO’s 13th anniversary
As EXO’s leader, Suho wasted no time in taking to the messaging app Bubble to celebrate the group’s 13th anniversary with fans. He began with the simple, “Debut,” followed by a query:
“Is it the 13th anniversary (already)..”
He wrapped up his message with a heartfelt, “I love you.”
His co-members Kai, D.O., Chanyeol, Baekhyun, Chen, and Xiumin have yet to post on social media.
Meanwhile, Lay is actively promoting as a solo artist in China.
Sehun, on the other hand, is currently fulfilling his mandatory military duties.
Will EXO come back as a full group this 2025?
In an Instagram Live last December, Suho hinted at EXO's full group activity. The leader mentioned that an “EXO fan meeting” is on the horizon, particularly after Kai and Sehun’s military discharge.
During SMTOWN Live last January, Chanyeol also teased details regarding EXO’s future plans.
“Kai will be out soon, and although Sehun has a little time left, it won’t be long before we can reunite and show you something great,” the rapper said. “In fact, we’re already discussing plans.”
Meanwhile, D.O., in an interview in January, also made a comment about the group’s alleged reunion.
“Yes. I want to tell you not to worry as we’re starting preparations,” he said. “We’re getting ready.”
