Playboi Carti's latest album, MUSIC, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart. It is reportedly the Atlanta rapper’s second No. 1 album.
According to a report in Luminate as stated by Billboard, the album achieved a total of 298,000 equivalent album units in its first week, ending March 20, 2025. It included 283,000 units from streaming alone, which is equivalent to 284 million on-demand official streams of the album's songs.

The rapper’s long-awaited album consists of 30 tracks, which reflect Carti’s influence in contemporary rap culture. It surpassed Carti’s previous success with Whole Lotta Red in January 2021, which sold over 100,000 units in its first week. And his debut album, Die Lit, which peaked at No. 3 with 61,000 units sold in its opening week, reported Rolling Stone.
