BTS’ RM and Canadian-Korean singer Tablo announced their new song, Stop The Rain, scheduled to release on May 2. BTS’ RM is currently serving his compulsory military enlistment in South Korea. While the singer is scheduled for discharge on June 10, 2025, the new track was revealed on April 24, 2025.

The duo previously collaborated on the single, All Day, from RM's album Indigo in 2022. While the announcement didn't reveal many details about the track, it created a wave of online buzz. Pop Base posted the announcement on its X channel. Shortly after, fans filled the comment section with best wishes and expressed their excitement.

BTS’ RM's new single, Stop The Rain, was announced with an ambiguous trailer. The video shows two cards, with the top card including the song and artists' names along with a drawing of what appears to be an angel. The card appears on top of a "Queen" card from the deck. The video plays with the sound of rainfall in the background as the singers announce their names.

While it is unclear when the song was created, it comes nearly a month before BTS’ RM's military discharge. The duo have reportedly shared a positive relationship and had plans for another collaboration since their first project together.

In a 2023 interview with Rolling Stone, Epik High's Tablo revealed the story behind their first collaboration. He noted that he was on an airplane when he received a text message from RM wanting to do a song with him. Without much thought, Tablo said,

"I couldn’t even download it. So I said, ‘Yo, I’m getting on a plane right now — but yes, of course.’ "

He showered praise on the Lost singer and added that he is "incapable" of making "a bad song." In other news, the RM's albums continue to make a wave of hits. Hypebeast named his album, Right Place, Wrong Person, as one of "the best albums in 2004." Additionally, BTS’ RM is nominated as a solo artist in AMA's Favorite K-Pop Artist category.
