The Korean girl group MEOVV has dropped their much-anticipated pre-release track Hands Up on April 28, 2025. They had previously announced their new album, MY EYES OPEN VVIDE, to be released on May 12, 2025. Launched in 2024, the multi-lingual group consists of Gawon, Anna, Sooin, Narin, and Ella.

MEOVV dropped the music video of their pre-release track, Hands Up, on their YouTube channel. Fans posted their reactions in the comment section of the announcement post on the group's Instagram. One user (@farisaqmar) noted:

Many fans complimented "Ella's" expressions in the music video and were excited by the visuals. Another fan slammed the "haters" and noted that they are "quiet" after the group dropped a "banger."

MEOVV release music video for single Hands up before the launch of their upcoming EP

Formed by Black Label, MEOVV is relatively new to the music scene but shot to fame with their first single, Meow, released in September 2024. They worked on other tracks, including Body and Toxic, with the latter released in November 2024. The group is now making a comeback with their debut album, MY EYES OPEN VVIDE.

They had been promoting their new album and pre-release track, Hands Up, on social media while performing the hook step and chorus. The choreography reportedly took off on social media, with many taking the Hands Up challenge.

In an hour since its release, the song has been viewed close to 210k times on YouTube. Fans took to the comment section to support the group's comeback and were impressed by the music, visuals, and choreography. They were also amazed that this was just the beginning of the music projects and looked forward to more.

In other news, MEOVV is scheduled to meet their fans for a meetup in association with the popular Korean messaging app, KakaoTalk. Fans can learn about the meetup through the official website. Lucky winners will meet the group in "mid-May" and the location will be disclosed to the winners. The event will run from April 28 to May 6, 2025, and 50 lucky winners will get a chance to interact with the group members.
