Since BTS’ Jin's discharge in June 2024, the singer and entertainer has "been recording, filming variety shows," and working on things he had planned during his military service. For his next project, he is set to appear in Netflix's new variety show, Driver: In Search Of Lost Screws or Screwballs, per Osen. He has reportedly completed filming his segments, and the episode is expected to premiere in May.
BTS Charts Daily shared the news on its X channel and noted
"his appearance will be revealed in May after the Busan friendship trip episode currently in progress."
The caption described it as an "old-fashioned character variety show" which features,
"comedic talents Kim Sook, Hong Jin-kyung, Jo Se-ho, Joo Woo-jae, and Jang Woo-young assemble the joys and sorrows of life without screws."
Fans took to the comment section to celebrate the singer's new role. One user (@jminzt) wrote,
"my man is booked and busy omfg."
One user (@smurfette19752) noted that another BTS member, Jimin, had previously appeared on the show, which at the time was under a different name. They wrote,
"It’s the same show(Beat Coin) as the one Jimin was on, but now it’s under Netflix and has a new title."
Another fan (@zuz1793) expressed their excitement and noted,
"I never appreciate my Netflix subscription the way I appreciate it now. my man be entertaining me in netflix so much."

BTS' Jin has reportedly wrapped up his segment for the new variety show, Driver: In Search of Lost Screws. This follows his appearance on Netflix's Kian Bizarre B&B, which was released on April 8. Apart from his entertainment skills, BTS’ Jin has gained recognition for his humour on set. Apart from working on variety shows, he is also preparing to release his second solo album, Echo, in May 2025.
BTS’ Jin was the first member in his group to complete his compulsory military enlistment. Since his discharge, he has appeared in multiple variety shows and is expected to release his new album, Echo. Fans swooned over his new role on Netflix and expressed happiness for retaining their Netflix membership.
