Neil Young recently teased a new world tour with an article on his website, Neil Young Archives, on February 18, 2025. The original article by the singer has now been deleted, and the singer's statement is here quoted via Far Out Magazine's article on the matter on February 19, 2025:

"Music unites! We will be there with you! Join us all as we celebrate the Summer of Democracy. Old songs and new songs. Old words and new words. Long jams! We will come together this summer. The Chrome Hearts and I are ready for you! LOVE and Democracy reigns in the USA and the world."

The singer further stated in the statement that the world tour will be with The Chrome Hearts and that there will be shows in the US, Canada, Europe, and the UK.

No further details regarding the tour have been provided by the singer, and no new announcements have been made as of the writing of this article. The singer is currently scheduled to perform at the upcoming edition of Glastonbury Festival.

Neil Young to release debut album with The Chrome Hearts

Neil Young will release his debut album with The Chrome Hearts, titled The Big Change, sometime in the upcoming months of 2025. The singer talked about the new album in a post on his official website on February 12, 2025, stating:

"Hi Everyone! I just finished my new album with Lou Alder and John Hanlon. It is in mastering now to make the vinyl, CD and digital copies. I am very happy and relieved to have this done in the short time it took. The album art has been completed and handed in with Jenice Heo."

The singer continued:

"I am working on the lyric sheets now, hoping to hand-write the words and get them in, in time.. It is a happy feeling I have today, knowing, I have made an album I think people will enjoy. I hope its out in April. That would be pretty fast. Playing with Chrome Hearts was a joy as we recorded song after song at Shangrila in Malibu."

Neil Young spoke about the recording process and when he hoped the album would come out:

"I wrote these songs in November and December. They feel fresh to me and I am very happy to have all this ready for you. It won't be long now, and it will be great to have new songs to play this summer on the road in Europe, USA and Canada. We are looking forward to that."

Neil Young's upcoming album will be his first new release since the release of Early Daze, the Crazy Horse band record that was originally recorded in 1976 but was not released back then and remained unreleased until it was finally released on July 24, 2024.

The album consists of a total of ten songs, which were all previously featured in other records by the singer or by Crazy Horse. Neil Young also released the live album, Fuckin' Up, on April 24, 2024. The album is a live recording of Crazy Horse's album Ragged Glory, except the final song.

Both these albums were critically received well upon their release and were preceded by the release of yet another unreleased project, Chrome Dreams, in 2023 (conceived originally in 1977 as an acetate and subsequently leaked as a bootleg for decades).
