NBA YoungBoy, or Kentrell Gaulden, will be released from jail sooner than he is scheduled to. He was lastly projected to come out on July 27, 2025. This is due to a plea agreement of the federal charges against him with a firearm in Utah, receiving a 23-month sentence.

As reported by Times Now, his early release report comes in the wake of a reported assault involving him while behind bars. According to reports, he beat up an inmate associated with Lil Durk's OTF gang. His release date is not affected by this.

What led to NBA YoungBoy's prison sentence?

Times Now adds that NBA YoungBoy's run-in with the law has been going on for years. His latest sentence was a result of a federal gun case in Utah. Officials charged him with possessing illegal guns while he was on house arrest for earlier gun charges.

Here, he took a plea bargain. He pleaded guilty to certain charges, such as firearm offenses and identity theft. This earned him a 23-month sentence.

The sentence was a piece of a bigger legal battle. He has been arrested more than once since his teenage years. His history involves numerous charges associated with weapons, drugs, and other illegal activities.
