Elisha Mullins joined Miss May I in 2024 after two members exited
Miss May I began its journey in 2007, and over the years, they have released several albums like Apologies Are for the Weak, Monument, At Heart, Curse of Existence, and others. In 2024, two members, B. J. Stead and Justin Aufdemkampe, took their leave. The band shared a heartwarming Instagram post for their contributions, writing:
“For over 15 years, we have maintained the same lineup with Miss May I, and today we announce the discontinuation of the era with two members.”
The post shared that BJ and Justin left the band to explore new paths. While they will be missed, the group fully supports their decision. The band reflected on their early days starting in high school and emphasized they are still as driven as ever.
Elisha Mullins has joined as a new member, and the band plans to keep moving forward, including celebrating the 15th anniversary of their debut album with live shows. In March 2025, Miss May I lead vocalist Levi Benton shared that they all came from similar backgrounds.
Elisha was from the Midwest, around the same age, and they grew up listening to the same local bands, so having him join felt like a natural fit. Benton explained that although Miss May I went through several changes, those shifts were necessary to keep things going.
While touring in the U.S., their families would visit on weekends or at the end of international tours. Despite being far from home, they found comfort in connecting over parenthood and having that sense of community during tough times.
