Machine Gun Kelly and his ex, Megan Fox, are expecting and will be welcoming their child soon.
However, amid gearing up for fatherhood, MGK is also in mourning. He recently lost one of his close friends, Luke "The Dingo" Trembath, who was just 39.
On March 7, MGK, whose actual name is Colson Baker, posted an emotional homage on Instagram.
He wrote: "I’ve lost a lot of friends, but i’ve never lost a brother. we’ll never get another Dingo on this planet. a true rockstar without ever needing to make a song, the most loyal, loud, charismatic, funny, and annoying human i’ve ever had the honor of knowing.
Because of this tragedy, the rapper's baby's birth has become "bittersweet" for him. In one of the most difficult phone conversations he has ever had to make, he talked about notifying his daughter about Dingo's death.
He stated he would never forget that his daughter, Casie, nicknamed him Ping Pong when she was too small to realize his name was Dingo.
He said: "i feel like your [sic] up there with my new child, dressed up in a hilarious costume making them laugh, getting ready to send them down. i couldn’t ask for a more bittersweet birth blessing."
He continued in the post:
"I’ll miss your epic toasts, i’ll miss dapping you up and my hand hurting everytime because you had some odd amount of Australian strength goin on, i’ll miss your bellyflops...
"... i’ll miss watching you walk through the door and lifting the energy of every pivotal event in my adult life, i’ll miss you pissing me off, but most of all i’ll miss your laugh."
He said:
"You were the glue between all of us."
Following an uplifting sermon about the future at church over the weekend, the rock star talked briefly about Megan and her pregnancy.
On Sunday, he said on his Instagram Stories, "Church was right on time today." He wrote, "Can't wait," and included emojis of a guy cradling a baby and a milk bottle.
"Your past is not your purpose - your priority is ahead of you," read the lesson shown on the large screen and matched the current chapter of MGK.

With her ex-husband Brian Austin Green, Megan already has three children: Journey, age eight; Bodhi, age 10 and Noah, age 12. Along with his ex-partner, Emma Cannon, MGK is also the father of a 15-year-old daughter named Casie.
As previously reported by TMZ, Megan is anticipated to give birth in March, so it won't be long until she welcomes her fourth kid.
In late November, a few weeks after announcing Megan's pregnancy, she and MGK ended their five-year romance.
The ex-couples are now only interested in continuing their relationship as co-parents.
Us Weekly learned how the A-list ex-couples are doing following their split while they are expecting their first child together via insiders close to the Transformers star and the Bad Things hitmaker.
While Megan plans to focus on the future, MGK, on the other hand, isn't on the same page as her.
According to reports, the musician is trying to channel "his energy into self-improvement" as he struggles to accept his new reality.
