"I don't care about threats": Kanye West takes a shot at Top 5 in latest X posts

Kanye West and his ramblings on X have become a daily headline. The singer took a shot at Canadian rapper Top 5 in his latest post on X on March 18, 2025. While the source of the discussion is unclear, Kanye posted a screenshot of Top 5's messages to him. Akademiks TV took to its X to share screenshots of Top 5's message and Kanye's responses.

In his message, Top 5 appears to threaten Kanye West and notes that it is "disrespectful" not to recognize who he is. He continues to refer to himself as "Him" and asks West to give him a call. Kanye West shared the screenshot and wrote,

"Broooo I don't care about threats."

He wrote another post addressing Top 5, indicating that the latter had previously called him multiple times. He noted,

"Where’s the 30 phone calls in a row now that I posted the weird a*s threatening text."

Born Hassan Ali, Top 5 is a Toronto-based rapper who has been previously linked to first-degree murder charges, per Now Toronto. The rapper was let go on grounds of "inadmissible evidence." He had last posted on his social media in 2024 to thank his lawyer, Gary Grill.

Additionally, his lawyer fees were reportedly paid off by Drake. More recently, Ali was arrested in January 2025 due to a firearms investigation. Apart from his lawsuits, very little is known about him.

It is unclear what led Top 5 to drop messages to Kanye West or how they are linked to each other. Fans took to Kanye's X post about the Canadian rapper, with many unaware of who he is. One user wrote,

"Top 5 a lame ye don’t give this n**ga clout plz."

Another user (@Monitor_AE) shared a picture of Top 5 and noted,

"For those that don’t know, this is the loser Ye is talking to. A Canadian rapper who accidentally become a “goon”."

One user (@thealyssastory) appeared confused and asked for more context. They wrote,
