Kanye West recently revealed that VULTURES 3, the third and last album in the Vultures trilogy, will likely not be released. The reason is that he and Ty Dolla $ign are no longer communicating. This news marks an untimely conclusion to a project that began strongly but eventually struggled.

The trilogy was a collaborative project between Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign. The initial album, Vultures 1, was a commercial success upon its release in February 2024. The second album, Vultures 2, however, fared poorly and sold fewer copies than the first one.

VULTURES 3 plans were laid early, and a release date was scheduled for June 13, 2025. However, their relationship changes, and external pressure has rendered the album's release highly unlikely. Kanye West has confirmed this in a recent interview.

The issues between Ty Dolla $ign and Kanye West began in January 2025. Kanye uttered various provocative statements that attracted a lot of criticism. In reaction, Ty Dolla $ign publicly distanced himself. He posted on Instagram, indicating that he does not condone hate speech in any form.

Ty Dolla $ign also erased all references to Kanye from his social media handles. This action clearly indicated to the public that their relationship had disintegrated. Ty Dolla $ign's record label was also engaged. Reports indicated that his label cautioned him regarding continued collaboration with Kanye, and this put extra pressure.

Kanye went on to state that label threats were largely responsible for the breakup. With all these problems put together, the two artists ceased communicating with each other.

What was the plan for VULTURES 3?

When Vultures 1 was released in February 2024, Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign teased a full trilogy. VULTURES 2 was released in August 2024 but fared poorly with critics and fans. Nevertheless, they had intended to finish the series with VULTURES 3.

VULTURES 3 was planned to drop on June 13, 2025. Both artists initially told us that the album was underway. Even Ty Dolla $ign signaled in September of 2024 that work was ongoing. Everyone hoped the final installment would hit on schedule.

But with the increasing problems between Kanye and Ty Dolla $ign, things took a turn for the worse. By early 2025, it was evident that their professional and personal relationship was shattered. Kanye confessed that they were no longer talking, and it became nearly impossible for VULTURES 3 to drop.

There are still some fans wondering if Kanye could drop VULTURES 3 independently. Kanye has a track record of altering plans and surprising his fans. Nevertheless, without Ty Dolla $ign's contribution, the project would not be the same.

Kanye has not commented on whether he will utilize any of the work they did together. Ty Dolla $ign has also remained quiet on what will happen to the project. Without both artists collaborating, it would be difficult to provide what fans were anticipating from the trilogy.

There is also the rights issue. Because both Kanye and Ty Dolla $ign contributed to the music, legal complications might prevent a solo release. At this stage, it seems highly unlikely that VULTURES 3 will be released, either as a joint or solo effort.

Kanye West has officially announced that VULTURES 3 is likely not going to come out. His beef with Ty Dolla $ign, external pressure, and label matters have all contributed.

The demise of the Vultures project is a testament to how professional and personal lives can influence artistic work. With Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign having made such a good beginning with Vultures 1, their breakup leaves the tale incomplete. It is a testament that in music, as in life, not everything goes according to plan.
