The lead behind Radiohead, Thom Yorke, and Mark Pritchard, currently under Wrap, are back in the spotlight. The duo made headlines last month when they dropped their new song, Back in the Game, on February 13, 2025.
This time, they collaborated to release their first album together, called Tall Tales. The album is set to be released on May 9 via Warp Records.
The song that they dropped last month, Back in the Game, was first sung by Thom Yorke during his 2024 Australian tour before the official release in February.
Thom Yorke reflects on Tall Tales: says ''It was mental, and I feel lucky to have been involved.''
With a song dropped last month and a new album to be released in May, it is not shocking that the two artists share some connections.
Thom Yorke took to his Instagram on March 11, 2025, to share the news of the release of Tall Tales. In the caption, he explained to his audience the deep connection and excitement he felt creating Tall Tales. He said:
''Mark sent me a large file of MP3s of ideas during lockdown,"
He continued -
"There were so many great ones I knew straight away that I had to drop what I was doing. It felt very much that I had not been anywhere like this before both as soon as I put my headphones on and started trying to find the vocals, words and sounds, but also, as it progressed, watching Jonathan respond so freely and spontaneously with all his video and artwork ideas.''
He added:
''It was mental, and I feel lucky to have been involved. I am looking forward to this finally coming out, Tall Tales is very important to me.''
However, this was not the first time they had collaborated. They first met in 2011 when Maek remixed the song Bloom from Radiohead for their TKOL RMX 1234567 album.
Then, they met in the following year - 2012, when Thom, along with his rock band Radiohead, was on a tour in Australia. Thom and Mark then worked together in 2016 when Thom sang on Mark's song Beautiful People from the album Under the Sun.
On March 9, 2025, Thom Yorke and Mark gave a sneak peek of their other new single, This Conversation Is Missing Your Voice, on their Instagram, which was then released on March 11, 2025, and had the music video directed by Jonathan Zawada.

This song will be a part of their collaborative album, Tall Tales, along with Back in the Game. Both of these songs will be a part of a full-length film whose screening is yet to be announced.
