“Is this a joke?”: Fans react as parody account on X shares rumor that Ariana Grande might feature on TXT's new project

The South Korean boy group TxT, also known as Tomorrow x Together, has not been shy in revealing some of their favorite artists. The group has been vocal in expressing their love for American artist Ariana Grande and has made a viral cover of her song Thank U, Next.

Recently, there was a rumor about TxT and Ariana Grande collaborating on a project called Love Language circulating all over social media, claiming a release date of May 2, 2025. The exact reason for the speculations is unknown, but that did not hold the fans back from reacting to the wild speculation.

However, neither TXT nor BigHit Music has said anything about it.

@About_TXT_ on X, formerly Twitter, shared the rumor with the caption:

“Ariana Grande is rumored to be featuring TXT on their new project "Love Language" coming out May 2nd.”

The post quickly garnered numerous comments as fans expressed skepticism about the rumored collaboration.

@MOAkashka commented.

“Is this a joke , don't tell me I am going to cry if this is not true.”

Similar comments echoed this sentiment as fans questioned the validity of the news.

“SOURCES???? HOW??? WHERE DOES THE RUMOR COME FROM?????????????” @imstupidcarl questioned.
“Shut up omg i thought this was realll,” @BriannaHopeWorl added.
“don't play jokes like that,” @ackelicec replied.

Notwithstanding the unfounded rumors, some netizens expressed their wish for this rumor to be true.

”Would absolutely love having two of my favorite artist on the same track,” @beingovtimetweeted.
“God?!!!!! It’s my bd month w my fav kpop and pop artists stawpp if it’s true then they 100 percent made it for me,” @beomkittz commented.
“I'm here for it!!!!” @JEGirl518 added.

What is TXT up to now?

TXT, also known as Tomorrow x Together, is currently on tour. The world tour dubbed ACT: PROMISE - EP.2 started on March 7 in Incheon and will conclude on May 25 in Tokyo, Japan.

The five-member group consisting of Soobin, Yeonjun, Beomgyu, Taehyun, and HueningKai touched the cities of Kanagawa, Barcelona, London, Berlin, Paris, and Amsterdam. They will also appear in Kagawa, Aichi, Fukuoka, Macau, Osaka, and Tokyo before the end of the tour.

Their world tour began immediately after the group returned from their long-term break, which started after their schedule at the 39th Golden Disc Awards on January 5, 2025. The group wanted to catch a break and spend time with family.

“It was the first time we took such a long break. It gave us time to reflect on many things. I think it actually brought us closer together and allowed us to think more about ourselves as a team and artists,” TXT member HueningKai said in an interview before their London tour.

The five-member boy group made its debut in March 2019 and has since grown to become one of the most popular K-pop bands. It is managed by BigHit Music.
