Chappell Roan recently disclosed that she is in a serious relationship and has been dating for six months.

In the March 26, 2025, episode of Call Her Daddy podcast, titled Chappell Roan: Are People Scared of Me?, the 27-year-old pop star told the host, Alex Cooper, that she was currently in a relationship. Despite being committed, she expressed a strong belief in being single. She said:

“No, it’s serious. I’m very in love, but I am pro single. Everyone should be single, I’m serious. Be single. Stop dating. Be single. Have a great time alone. Find out for yourself if you can a hundred percent be okay alone before you date. That’s what I found out. I had a great time when I was single and I know that I’ll be okay and now I have an awesome time that I’m with someone.”

"I haven't dated someone since this all really, really blew up," Roan told Alex Cooper. "I'm dating the same person that I was dating before I got [famous]."

The Midwest Princess added:

“I’m not sure how I would date now. I think it would actually be a nightmare. I think I would be so single right now because you’re terrified of their intentions. I’m scared. I’m scared. I don’t trust anyone. I just think in my head, I’m like, any new person that I’m texting, I’m like, ‘I’m assuming they will screenshot this and send it to someone else.'”

She further opened up on how some people feel intimidated by her. She explained that as she gained visibility and success, she noticed a shift in how fans and the public approached her, according to a report in The Hollywood Reporter.

Roan has become a global sensation since the release of her debut album, The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess, in September 2023. She also won a Grammy Award for Best Artist in February 2025. According to the official Grammy website, she described her struggles after being dropped from the label, saying:

"I told myself, if I ever won a GRAMMY, and I got to stand up here in front of the most powerful people in music, I would demand that labels and the industry profiting millions of dollars off artists would offer a living wage and healthcare, especially to developing artists.”

She added:

“I was signed as a minor, [and] when I got dropped I had zero job experience under my belt. And like most people I had a difficult time finding a job during the pandemic and could not afford health insurance."

She further said:

"It was so devastating to feel so committed to my art and feel so betrayed by the system. I was so dehumanized not to have health insurance."

She concluded her speech with the question:

"Labels, we got you, but do you got us?"

At the end of her Call Her Daddy interview, Chappell Roan teased that her upcoming single, The Giver, is just the beginning, indicating that more music is on the way. She hinted that additional songs would be released soon.
