Cardi B is mourning the passing of Rubby Pérez and other Dominicans after the Jet Set Nightclub accident
Cardi B wrote a long message and shared it with her followers on her Instagram broadcast channel. Cardi started by saying:
"I’m in literal tears scrolling down my timeline seeing my Dominican people being rescued some wit lives and some gone ..I’m sad seeing families crying desperately in pain looking for love ones ..I feel like every Dominican around the world is in a big hora Santa praying for survivors and praying for the ones that are gone to be in Gods Glory." - the 32-year-old singer and rapper wrote.
She also tried consoling her fans who had lost a loved one or a family member during the accident. She added:
"For the people who lost a family or a friend don’t have bad memories they left this earth singing and dancing and most likely happy and enjoying themselves and that’s how the lord will receive them .." - Cardi B expressed.
In addition to this lengthy message, Cardi has posted a photo of the Dominican map adorned with a black ribbon on her story, expressing her solidarity and mourning for the tragic loss.

Rubby Pérez was 69 years old when he passed away during an accident at the Jet Set Nightclub. He was in the middle of his performance when the roof collapsed. Pérez survived the collapse and continued singing under the rubble to help rescuers locate him. Unfortunately, it was too late, and they could not reach the merengue artist in time.
