SZA has expressed interest in working with Taylor Swift. The Saturn hitmaker appeared as a guest on The Jennifer Hudson Show on March 21, 2025, where she discussed her upcoming tour with Kendrick Lamar, her debut movie role with Keke Palmer, Ben Stiller starring in her music video, and her relationship with Taylor Swift.
The conversation about the Bad Blood crooner began when Hudson showed a clip of SZA and Swift hanging out at the February 2025 Grammys. In the clip, Taylor, dressed in a red gown, has her arm around SZA, who wears a pink cutout mesh dress.
"Every time she walks up to me or approaches me, I’m just like, ‘All right, this is happening because that’s fully Taylor Swift,'”
She continued:
"I think I mentioned that I would love to write with her and build some things together. I love her storytelling. She was open to it. I think she’s awesome. She’s so bossed up.”

As SZA readies for her joint trek with Kendrick Lamar, which kicks off on April 19, 2024, the R&B singer expressed her excitement and shared some of the career advice she’s gotten from the Not Like Us hitmaker:
“I get to pick different tips and watch how he carries himself, how he emotes,” she said. “To watch him perform is to witness something magical.”
She added:
"One time, he gave me the pointer of pretending to watch myself from above,” she continued. “He sees himself while he’s performing, and it actually changed a lot for me. It was weird when I was watching myself from afar; I was like, ‘This not what I want to see; I want to see something different. I want to turn up.’ Then I just started, like, invoking a completely different energy and spirit within myself.”
SZA also mentioned some of her favorite singer-songwriters in the industry. She revealed that she admires Gracie Abrams, Doechii, Lola Young, Olivia Rodrigo, and Chappell Roan, who can tell stories through their music.
