BLACKPINK's Lisa has bagged another achievement as the only K-Pop artist, male or female, to perform at the Oscars. The 27-year-old idol gave a thrilling live performance at the 97th Academy Awards, which was held on Sunday, February 2, 2025.
The all-round performer was part of the trio that paid tribute to the soundtracks used in the iconic James Bond series. Lisa opened the performance by belting out the theme song of the 1973 James Bond film Live and Let Die while wearing a black and red dress. Her performance was followed by Megan Thee Stallion and Raye, who sang 'Diamonds are Forever ' and 'Skyfall,' respectively.
While the whole K-pop fandom celebrated another achievement for the K-pop industry, Lisa's performance brought about a lip-syncing controversy as people accused the Thai singer of mouthing off the lyrics.
