Chappell Roan's latest Instagram post announces the release date of her country single, The Giver. The track will be released on March 13, 2025, at 8 p.m. E.T.
It will be her first single since her last, Good Luck, Babe!, which was reportedly released in April 2024. The 27-year-old shared a picture of herself dressed in construction gear. She explained in the post that she has co-written the fresh single with her songwriter/producer Dan Nigro.
“@dan_nigro and I wrote this together and it was so fun!!! We’ve never done a country song and I have such a special place in my heart for country music. I grew up listening to it every morning and afternoon on my school bus and had it swirling around me at bon fires, grocery stores and karaoke bars.” She wrote.
Revealing whether or not her next album will be based on a country theme, Chappell Roan said that many have enquired if her next album will be a country album, to which she replied,
“hmm right now I’m just making songs that make me feel happy and fun and The Giver is my take on c–try xoxo may the classic country divas lead their genre, I am just here to twirl and do a little gay yodel for yall.”
Roan reportedly teased The Giver during her appearance on Saturday Night Live in 2024 but the song was removed later from SNL’s and the singer’s official YouTube channels.

Chappell Roan makes her debut at the Saturday Night Live
According to a report in People magazine, Roan debuted at the Saturday Night Live in November 2024. After being introduced by the host John Mulaney, she performed her hit number, Pink Pony Club from her first album, The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess and her unreleased track, The Giver.

For her second performance, she sang her soon-to-be-released country-style track, The Giver. She wore a pink and white bralette which had lapels and a tie at the centre. She paired the top with matching shorts and cowboy boots.
As per a report in Billboard, in the middle of the track, she remarked:
“All you country boys think you know how to treat a woman right. Well, only a woman knows how to treat a woman right. She gets the job done.”
Her song reportedly asserted how only a woman knows to satisfy another woman.
Chappell Roan has been teasing her upcoming single The Giver for quite a while. This is evident from her last few Instagram posts where she could be seen posing in different characters – a lawyer, a plumber, a private investigator and now a construction worker.
