The rock band Weezer is said to have played a banging set at Coachella 2025. Fans and other audience members alike gave rave reviews to the band's performance.
The bassist of the rock band, Scott Shriner's wife was shot, a non-life threatening injury, and arrested just three days prior to the band's performance, after she allegedly pointed a gun at LAPD officers looking for a suspect in her neighborhood.
Weezer was announced as a last-minute addition to Coachella's line-up along with Ed Sheeran, after several acts pulled out of the festival last minute.

However, this did not seem to have affected the band's performance in any way.
In addition to performing their regular set-list, Shriner, front man Rivers Cuomo, and the rest of the band gave a humbling tribute to their greatest hits that gave fans a chance to remember the when they listened to the band in the good and bad times.
A lot of the Coachella crowd, who probably weren't even born during Weezer's reign in the music industry, got an opportunity to listen to some of their greatest hits like "Pork and Beans," "My Name Is Jonas," and "Hash Pipe."
The band began by performing the classic song "My Name Is Jonas" from their 1994 smash hit first album. They then performed "Hash Pipe" and "Pork and Beans."
Cuomo welcomed the crowd after these first three performances and said that they had been filming the "Weezer movie back in Los Angeles." However, the band quickly agreed to perform when the desert music festival's organizers contacted them. He stated:
"It’s so great to be here with all you guys and let out all these emotions."
The band then performed a number of their other songs, such as "The Sweater Song" and "Surf Wax America."
The band went on to also perform a cover of the song "Enter Sandman" by the hard rock band Metallica, which took many fans by surprise and had people dancing to the beat.
