"I hate this generation of rappers previewing disses on live." one commenter opined.

More on Dave Blunts's First Day Out The Hospital

First Day Out The Hospital by Dave Blunts was released on March 1, 2025 and currently has 103k views on the official YouTube channel. The song is a 2:03 length track consisting of mostly disses on Kankan, Isabella, and Nine Vicious.

The track is the singer's first new release since Thinking of You, which was released on February 15, 2025. The singles were preceded by the singer's second studio album, If I Could I Would, on October 18, 2024, with a lengthy gap in between for festival performances as well as repeated visits to the hospital.

Dave Blunts talked about his music in an exclusive interview with Complex on August 1, 2024, stating:

"My favorite things to rap about are women, my friends, traumatic experiences, and controversial topics. Anytime I play my music for anybody, I'm just like, ‘Hey man, I just want to let you know, I be saying some crazy shit. I don't know what's wrong with me. And I'm sorry."

Dave Blunts also talked about the struggle and motivation behind his choice of becoming a rapper, stating:

"I've always wanted to make music, but I never had the resources to do so. There are studios in my town, but they're expensive and not even legit. So one day I was hanging out with my friend and we went to his friend's house who had a studio in his basement."

The singer continued:

"I'm like, "Well sh*t, let me f**k around and make a song," and that sh*t was good. After that, I would make music on my f*****g Android phone with Dollar Store headphones and sh*t."

The singer also talked about his new album:

"This project is about my life currently, moving to LA and being in the music industry. It's about the expectations that you have before you get in the music industry, and then the reality of what's really in the music industry. This album is beautiful music."

Dave Blunts first started making music back in 2019, releasing several EPs and then starting to release TikTok videos from 2024, which propelled him to success. He released his debut album, Well Dude Here's My Thing, on June 28, 2024.
