Hans Zimmer 2025 North American tour: Presale time, dates, venues, and more explored

Hans Zimmer is coming back to North America to hit the road.

The beloved composer behind some of cinema's most acclaimed soundtracks is all set to launch a new tour this fall, which is titled The World of Hans Zimmer – A New Dimension.

Hans Zimmer will take on the roles of producer, curator, and musical director during the trek. The music will be performed live by a full orchestra under the baton of Zimmer's collaborator, Matt Dunkley. The 24-date tour begins on September 5, 2025, in Sunrise, Florida, and wraps up on October 11, 2025, in Vancouver, Canada.

Hans Zimmer took to his official Instagram page to share the tour announcement. The post read:

"The moment has arrived: The World of Hans Zimmer comes to North America for the first time! ♥️ Immerse yourself in this cinematic experience conducted by Matt Dunkley and curated by Hans Zimmer."

It also added:

Hans Zimmer's last North American tour in early 2024 saw him performing live alongside a rock band and orchestra. This time, A New Dimension will lean more into the symphonic side of his catalog, with new arrangements of his beloved scores, paired with film visuals, reports suggest. However, it is worth noting that Hans will not be on stage himself.

Unlike the 2024 Hans Zimmer Live shows, where the composer played onstage with electric guitars, synths, and a band, this 2025 tour will be conducted by Matt Dunkley and will center more on orchestral arrangements.

Matt Dunkley has worked on scores like Inception and Pirates of the Caribbean in the studio and also led last year's European version of The World of Hans Zimmer. He performed in over 30 cities.

In a New York Post interview, Matt mentioned:

"There is 'Hans Zimmer Live' where Hans is onstage with this really big rock band and orchestra. Then, there is 'The World of Hans Zimmer,' the one that I conduct, which is a little more symphonic. We still have a band, but it's not quite as big as Hans' and we have a larger orchestra. So we are coming at the music from a different angle."

He also added:

"It's a different setlist. The idea is we go through a journey through Hans' 40 years of film scoring. So we go right from early days with Driving Miss Daisy all the way up to Dune Two and stopping off in Interstellar and Gladiator and we have got incredible soloists and amazing singers."

Hans Zimmer continued:

"The difference is Dunkley knows what he is doing. I'm just making it up as I go. So you get a much more refined show. Matt is one of the world's foremost figures in film music. There’s no one I trust more to bring this music to life on stage."

Tickets for The World of Hans Zimmer – A New Dimension will be released in phases. A special TikTok pre-sale starts on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at 12:00 pm EST. To access it, fans will need to follow Hans Zimmer on TikTok.
