Finneas and Colin Blunstone unite for a stunning live rendition of 'Time of the Season'

The lead vocalist of The Zombies, Colin Blunstone, surprised fans with his recent live collaboration with Finneas for the band's song Time of the Season. The event took place at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles on March 5. The song, Time of the Season, was first released in 1968 and was a part of Odessey and Oracle, the Zombies' album.

In Rolling Stone's 2012 list of the 500 Greatest Albums of All Time, the Odessey and Oracle album was placed at number 100. In the 2020 update, it ranked 243, making the album one of their biggest hits.

Colin Blunstone surprised fans by bringing Finneas on stage for the Time of the Season song

The Zombies and Colin Blunstone shared an Instagram post on March 9, featuring Finneas. In the video, both the artists were seen singing Time of the Season.

The caption of the post said:

"An unforgettable moment✨ Colin joined the incredibly talented @finneas on stage at the Hollywood Palladium for a special performance of Time of the Season—a song that’s resonated for over 55 years. Huge thanks to Finneas for bringing this classic to life in a whole new way!"

The Let's Fall in Love for the Night singer was first seen covering the song in January on Triple J's YouTube channel. In the interview with Triple J for the Time of the Season cover, the singer also showed admiration towards the song by saying,

"This is a song I've loved over the past year, specifically. I've heard it, you know, for years, but I think this year is like the year that I've listened to it the most. I mean, I think if you're a creator, you hope that you make a piece of work that feels prescient and somehow also feels timeless. And so, I don't know how Time of the Season felt to listen to in the 60s, but it sure holds up in 2025."

The singer also revealed that his band started sound-checking it and rehearsing it in cities in Australia, including Brisbane, Sydney, and Melbourne.

The new video of Colin Blunstone and Finneas's live performance gained recognition from fans who showed their appreciation in the comment section.

Finneas and the Zombies upcoming music tours

Colin Blunstone is starting his solo performance tour starting April 15. The European tour consists of 8 shows across Germany and the Netherlands.

Finneas will also be performing at multiple music festivals this year, including Rock Werchter, NOS Alive, Mad Cool Festival, Colours of Ostrava, Lollapalooza Paris, and Osheaga Festival.
