“1B SOON”: Fans react as Taylor Swift and Post Malone’s ‘Fortnight’ surpasses 900 million streams on Spotify

Artists Taylor Swift and Post Malone's collaborative track, Fortnight, is celebrating its one-year anniversary and continues to be a chart-topping hit. Since its release, the song has won multiple accolades, including an award for Best Collaboration at the VMAS 2024.

Pop Crave revealed on its X verified channel:

“Fortnight” by Taylor Swift feat. Post Malone has reached 900 MILLION streams on Spotify.

The singers, of course, are not unfamiliar with such as milestone, and have multiple hits that have sclaed this parameter of success. According to the post, this is Taylor's "24th" and Malone's "16th song to achieve this" honor.

Fans celebrated the feat in the comment section of the post. One fan (@taymojislucky13) shared their excitement, and wished the song hit the one-billion mark soon:

"1B SOON."

Another user (@grandpatronnG) added,

"The ending part of this song remains a masterpiece."

One fan (@sanjayvatts) congratulated the singers and noted,

"Congrats dear Taylor Swift... the track has became the second-fastest Swift song to hit this mark at Spotify..."

Another (@pixelpalad1n) added,

"Not surprising Swift and Post continue breaking Spotify records. Worthy musicians."

One user (@RyanXCX13) clapped back at critiques and wrote,

"and yall still call this a flop song."

Taylor Swift and Post Malone's collaboration on Fortnite emerged as a hit single in 2024 and continues to have an ongoing impact in 2025. At the time of writing, the song had been streamed 902,467,377 times on Spotify.

The song has also reportedly been nominated for the Best Collaboration at the American Music Awards 2025. The artists have also secured nominations across different categories.

Malone follows Kendrick Lamar with the 8 nominations, including Artist Of The Year. Taylor Swift has secured six nominations, following the release of her album The Tortured Poets Department.

The duo have publicly praised each other's art, with Swift calling Malone "everyone's favourite person in the music industry" while receiving the VMA award on September 11, 2024. At other times, Malone has reciprocated the feelings and talked of a great working experience with Swift. At the time of the release, Malone had reportedly noted that he was "honored" to work with Swift on the collaborative project.

More recently, Post Malone was named the 2025 ambassador of Record Store Day. According to Rolling Stone, the song Fortnight was launched in an "exclusive 7" white vinyl" at indie record shops on April 12, 2025.

Taylor Swift and Post Malone's Fortnight has continued winning hearts and appears on the streaming charts, even a year after release. Fans expressed excitement as the song is close to the 1 billion mark on Spotify. The duo has been nominated at the AMA awards, scheduled for May 26, 2025.
