BTS's Jungkook's solo career kickstarted with his hit single, Seven in 2023. Right from its release, it broke records, including making Spotify history, streamed 16 million times within 24 hours! It has now become the first and only song by an Asian act to achieve the #1 position on Billboard's Top TV Songs chart.
Per Billboard, the song leads the chart due to its appearance in the final episode of Netflix's XO Kitty Season 2. Even after close to two years since its release, his single Seven featuring rap vocals by Latto continues to win multiple accolades.
Pop Core posted a picture of Jungkook and wrote about the achievement. Fans quickly took to the comment section and congratulated the BTS singer. One user (@YehYay2) celebrated the news and noted:

Jungkook's Seven reaches #1 on Billboard's Top TV Songs chart
Jungkook's Seven feat. Latto was an instant hit and in no time climbed to the top of the charts. The music video also features actress Han So-Hee, who plays the singer's love interest. The MV has been viewed over 490 million times on YouTube and has 10 million likes. Billboard took to its Instagram to announce that it continues to "reign" the Top TV Songs chart.
Billboard captioned the post celebrating the achievement and noted that Seven:
"enjoyed a synch in the eighth and final episode of 'XO, Kitty's second season, which premiered alongside the other seven episodes on Jan. 16."
The caption further read:
"In all, 'XO, Kitty' boasts half of Top TV Songs' 10 positions for January 2025."
Seven was among other hits from XO Kitty that appeared on Billboard's Top Ten TV Songs Chart. Other songs that appear on the list are: Picture You by Chappel Roan (#3), Illusion by Dua Lipa (#5), XO (Only If You Say Yes) by ENHYPHEN (#9), and Got Me Started by Troye Sivan (#10)
Jungkook experienced a trailblazing start to his solo career. The songwriting and production for the song were done by Andrew (Watt) and Circut, per Variety. In a 2023 interview with Variety, Jungkook described the song as his "first step in the spotlight as a solo artist.
He added that through the song, he wanted to show his audience a "more mature and grown-up" version of himself. Almost two years after its release, the song appears to have delivered significantly.
