“THIS IS AURA”: Fans react as MEOVV releases Concept photo for its pre-release single ‘HANDS-UP’ ahead of album ‘My Eyes Open VVide’

Korean girl group MEOVV is set to release their first EP album, My Eyes Open VVide, on May 12, 2025. The group comprising Gawon, Anna, Sooin, Narin, and Ella debuted in 2024 with their single, Meow. The group took to its social media accounts to share the concept photo of their pre-release single, Hands Up. They also released a snippet of the track, which is also available to pre-save on streaming channels.

Fans can log in to the streaming channels, including Apple Music and Spotify, to receive updates about the new releases. According to the website, fans can "hear a special message from MEOVV" if they pre-save or pre-add. Fans took to the comment section to share their excitement for the new releases.

MEOVV set to release their first EP My Eyes Open VVide

MEOVV (pronounced Meow) has quickly grown in fame since its debut in 2024. Launched by The Black Label agency, the multilingual group has fans hooked to screens due to its power-packed dancing, catchy visuals, and tracks. In a January interview with Clash magazine, the members opened up about their experience since the debut. When talking about their plans, Gawon noted,

“We just want to become a group where we are proud of the music that we create."

While at the time, they had kept information about their new album under wraps, they revealed their ambition. Narin said,

“We’re always focused on challenging ourselves, trying new things and experimenting with new sounds."

They also recognise the fame they have acquired in a short period and expressed their gratitude towards their fans. Ella noted,

“We’re all so grateful because it’s only been a few months since we’ve made our debut, but we’ve accomplished more than we thought we would in this short amount of time. I’m really thankful to all the fans who made that happen.”
