Blackpink's Jennie is set to release her debut solo album, Ruby, on March 7, 2025. The singer and actress is the last to do so in her K-pop group, including Lisa, Rose, and Jisoo. However, she was the first in her group to release a single track, Solo, in 2018.

While Blackpink has announced its comeback with a tour in 2025, its members continue to produce compelling pieces of art at an individual level. While Jennie skipped the 2025 Grammy Awards function, her album has been named as a must-hear album among others in March per the Grammy's website.

About Music posted the announcement on its X, while fans took to the comment section to rejoice. One user (@itgirlmoments) noted,

"Wow! I’m tuned in!"

A few fans noted that the Grammys should assign her a nomination. One (@blairsblu) wrote,

"Jennie might as well be a nominee."

Another fan (@animas1love) rejoiced at the recognition and commented,

"Grammys recognize Jennie's musical masterpiece Ruby."

One user (@GoGetFit_) appreciated the Mantra singer's artistry and noted,

"It's fantastic that Ruby by Jennie has been named a must-hear album by the Grammys, showcasing her growing influence and unique artistry in the music industry."

To her fans' surprise, the Blackpink singer released an official album sampler on her channel, which gives a peek at all her tracks on the album. One fan (@kangbitnahere) wrote about the sampler,

"They are not lying all the snippets and pre releases are fire."

Jennie's newest studio album is making waves on the Internet. Set to launch on March 7, the Blackpink singer has collaborated with Columbia Records for her newest LP. According to the Grammy Awards website, the singer is celebrating the release of her album with The Ruby Experience. She is scheduled to perform in Los Angeles on March 6 and 7, followed by New York on March 10, and will be wrapped up in Seoul on March 15.

In a conversation with Billboard in January, the ExtraL singer revealed a creative "struggle," in which she had to "throw" herself out there and "keep knocking on doors" to know if she was doing the right thing.

In a press release, her agency, OA Entertainment, noted that she "took part in the album's production." They added that she was completely involved in the process too.

"more effectively convey her identity and infinite musical potential."

The BlackPink singer's album is being received positively, even before its official release. According to Grammys, other albums on the must-hear albums include Lady Gaga's Mayhem, Mackenzie Carpenter's Hey Country Queen, Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco's I Said I Love You First, Yukimi's For You, and others. Jennie is scheduled to perform at the Globe Force Awards to commemorate women in music on March 29 and at Coachella in April for her act.
