Adin Ross has joined the numerous commenters who have had something to say about Kendrick Lamar and SZA's tour concert. On Saturday, April 19, 2025, Kendrick Lamar and SZA began their joint world tour, dubbed Grand National Tour, at Minneapolis’ U.S. Bank Stadium.
The duo covered a long list of 52 songs as they rotated the stage. They also duetted on quite a number of songs, including All The Stars, Love, Doves In The Wind, and their number one Hot 100 Billboard single, Luther.
After the successful first night of the tour, netizens had a lot to say about the first concert, with Adin Ross being one of them. The popular Twitch streamer alleged that some of the fans at the concert were fake and were paid by UMG to attend.
@DailyNoud on X, formerly Twitter, shared Adin’s views with the caption:
“Adin Ross alleges that some of the fans at Kendrick Lamar and SZA’s tour are “paid actors” paid by UMG “You think he would be able to sell all that out? His music isn’t made for stadiums. UMG definitely hired 30,000 people and paid them $15 each or something.”
The post quickly garnered several reactions as netizens took to the comments-section to share their opinions on Adin Ross’ comment.
Some of them sided with Adin Ross’ take on the concert.
“how empty would this be without buy now, pay later?” @corbinderb0ss commented.
“No its literally just sza. She already did sold out solo tour. He can’t,” @azzurrochurro tweeted.
“I agree with this. Kendrick is not a global star. Maybe someday, and I hope it does become reality. But his following is mostly a trend. We love to hype him up. No one bumps Kendrick in the hood nor in the country side. Definitely not at parties etc.” @Streetliquor added.
However, several people didn't take Ross’ comment very nicely.
“Umm not all his music is made for stadiums, but Kendrick definitely has songs that are stadium playable, especially not like us, that’s a stadium made song if I’ve ever heard it. And I’m not even a Kendrick fan but adin js flat out yappin.” @TheZalord stated.
“Kendrick has been selling out arenas and venues. For years. Every time he releases an album, it’s a rap cultural reset. Ppl just love to hate. Drake has been doing the same too. Kendrick is arguably more popular that Drake rn so it’s not outrageous to say,” @obiistrash replied.
“Sad every time a person of color achieves anything even learning how to tie their shoes, there will always be that one “PERSON” that tries to shit on our parade blacks do it to blacks as well so miss me with the race bait shit.. You either a good citizen or a peice of sh*t,” @KyngTrappp added.
Adin Ross on Kendrick Lamar and Drake’s rap beef
In February, Adin Ross revealed in the Full Send Podcast that he believed Drake had won the rap diss. Kendrick Lamar was unofficially crowned the winner of the rap beef after the release of his global hate anthem, Not Like Us.
However, the 24-year-old streamer didn't agree with the generally accepted winner. In the podcast, he claimed that Lamar’s Not Like Us was filled with lies, citing Drake's ‘daughter accusations’ as an example. He also slammed K-Dot’s Superbowl halftime performance, crowning the OVO boss as the winner of the beef.
He said:
“In my opinion, I think Drake won the rap battle because, obviously Kendrick made the hit song ‘Not Like Us,’ but it’s all lies. He said [Drake] had a daughter, which was debunked. It wasn’t even real, but people don’t bring that up.”
He continued:
“In 2011, I was 11 years old. It was called Would You Like a Tour? I believe,” he said. “It was when [Drake] first dropped Take Care, he took Kendrick, J. Cole, A$AP Rocky, The Weeknd — he took all these guys on tour. Gave them all a feature. French Montana, Meek Mill, all of them. He helped put them on, and you’re doing him like this.”
He argued that Drake had been at the number one spot for so long that the industry decided to knock him off his throne using Lamar:
“It’s all built up. He’s been No. 1 for so long they just tried to knock him out. You can’t knock him out, though. He’s in Australia selling out crazy shows. … This guy just dropped an album, it’s amazing. No disrespect to Kendrick, he has classics, he has hits, [and] he is a legend, technically. But his last album before GNX, Mr. Morale, horrible. Drake revived Kendrick’s career.”
It isn't a secret that Adin Ross and Drake have a close relationship. The two recently went live together on the first gambling stream of 2025.
