“We are seated for the real music”: Fans excited as BIGBANG’s G-Dragon unveils D-1 poster for his new studio album ‘Übermensch’

Korean rapper and entrepreneur G-Dragon is all set to launch his third studio album, Übermensch. The German title, which roughly translates to 'superhuman' or 'overman,' has piqued the curiosity of many. The singer has kept his fan community engaged by unveiling the D-1 poster for the album.

Colloquially dubbed the King Of Pop, he also announced a supporting tour for the new album. While Übermensch's pre-order ended on February 10, the complete album will be available on February 25 at 2 PM Korean Standard Time.

The Kpop Charts dropped G-Dragon's poster for his new album. The poster has garnered compliments and excited fans one day before the album's release.

Netizens lauded the announcement, with many commenting that the "king is back." One user (@ohdamnpotatoz) talked about Dragon's unique marketing strategy and noted,

"Bro really only made a D-1 countdown while others would make it from D-10 to build hype lol. Only GD."

Another user (@mariahuyar_) talked about the other releases, including his singles Drama and Too Bad, to be made by the singer. They wrote,

"DRAMA and TOO BAD MV at 2PM KST FEB.25... mygosh GD is doing everything to satisfy us fans. The fact that GD is very serious about concepts that he even transforms his looks depending on the songs, he's an ARTIST."

BIGBANG’s G-Dragon announces supporting tour for his new studio album ‘Übermensch’

G-Dragon's third album, Übermensch, is launching eleven years after his second album, Coup d'Etat. In a press release, the artist spoke about the significance of the album and noted,

"This album embodies the idea of presenting a stronger and more resilient version of oneself to the public."

He added,

"I hope this strength resonates with my fans through my music.”

The singer took to his socials to announce the G-Dragon World Tour, which is reportedly beginning in March, per Korea Times. The caption read that "more details" about the tour "will be released at a later date."


G-Dragon's fans are claiming that he is in his comeback era. After over a decade, he is set to launch his album and embark on a tour to support it. The K-pop world has much to offer in 2025, and Dragon is hoping that his album will inspire his fans to be "stronger" and "more resilient."

In other news, the singer is also anticipated to perform at the Head In The Clouds music festival in Los Angeles, per Korea Times.
