"He is bullying your favs"- Fans react as Drake surpasses 6B streams on Spotify, becoming the most streamed rapper of the year

Drake has officially surpassed 6 billion streams on Spotify, and in the process, has also become the most-streamed rapper of the year on the platform. And we are still in April. Amid his ongoing beef with Kendrick Lamar and the events that played out last year, 2025 has been a roaring success for Drake.

Drake's latest album $ome $exy $ongs 4 U has played a major role in his climb up the ranks, with his single track NOKIA in particular being part of his revival as an artist - NOKIA recently topped the US Spotify Charts with 1.34M streams. In addition to this, he also has an immense body of work that includes major hits likeOne Dance, God's Plan, and Passionfruit, among others.

The news was met with great enthusiasm from fans on social media as well, and fans celebrated his victory like it was their own:

The news also brought forth some skeptics who cast doubt on the authenticity of the milestone, claiming that the title belonged to Kendrick Lamar instead:
