To date, BTS's Jimin has released two solo albums: Face (2023) and Muse (2024). The latter was launched before the Korean pop star fulfilled his compulsory military enlistment. Per Billboard, the album garnered a massive 22.74 Spotify streams on day 1 of its release. In a press release, Jimin revealed he put a "lot of emotions" into making the album, which has now achieved groundbreaking success.

Muse has now reportedly become the most streamed K-Pop album in US Spotify history. The album, which includes seven tracks, has crossed 2.4 billion streams on Spotify. It surpasses the streams of Proof by BTS.

Muse's success is a testament to Jimin's prowess as a solo artist. Previously in 2024, the BTS singer's Muse reached 900 million Spotify streams. Breaking further records, the album is the solo Korean act to secure its position as the most streamed K-pop album in Spotify history.

Additionally, the album's title track Who has also crossed 1.4 billion Spotify streams. This marks his second song, other than Like Crazy to achieve this feat in the Korean category on Spotify.

In a 2024 conversation with Weverse, the BTS's singer's manager, Pdogg, talked about the development of Muse. He told Weverse that his first album, Face, developed during the pandemic when everyone was going through a difficult time. He noted,

"A lot of people felt depressed during the pandemic, and Jimin was no exception. He took his passion and appetite while holed up at home and channeled it into his music."

He contrasted the development of Muse with that of Face and added,

"The idea behind MUSE was to express what he had felt then. That’s why all the songs ended up being upbeat and hopeful, even romantic."

Muse is continuing to make headlines among the streaming community, close to one year after its release. The singer is expected to come back from his military enlistment this year.

From trying to find himself in his first album to becoming more confident in his art as a solo artist, Jimin has come a long way. While it is unclear if there will be more music from the BTS singer this year, the possibility isn't low. He will return to find his album, Muse, breaking multiple records since its release.
