The upcoming album is Blake Shelton's first release since 2021's Body Language. The singer talked about his career and how it has changed in an exclusive interview with People Magazine on November 15, 2024, stating:
"The last couple of years, especially since I've retired from The Voice, I've just kind of been trying to be very mindful of the next thing that I do, be thoughtful about it and be sure that I'm not just doing things because I'm on the hamster wheel anymore. It happens, and before you know it, you go, 'My God, where have the last 10 years gone?"
Blake Shelton later spoke about the single from the upcoming album, Texas, stating:
"When we just started down this road, the song just jumped out to me. There was something familiar about it — and then something that felt like a step forward at the same time. It's always in the back of my mind: What's something I haven't done that's not going to make people go, 'What does he think he's doing?"
The singer also collaborated with his partner, Gwen Stefani, on the single Purple Irises in 2024. This was one of the many collaborations he has had with his partner, with the duo having previously collaborated on Go Ahead And Break My Heart, You Make It Feel Like Christmas, Nobody But You, Happy Anywhere, and More.
Blake Shelton is currently set to tour across North America, starting with his next show of the Friends and Heroes tour on March 15, 2025, at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia. This will be followed by his performances in Baltimore, Maryland, Tampa, Florida, and festivals such as Country Thunder Florida, Gulf Coast Jam in Panama City, Florida, and California Rodeo.
The singer's final show is at the Mercedes-Benz Amphitheater in Tuscaloosa, Alabama on October 17, 2025. As of the writing of this article, the singer has not announced any new tours for his new album.
