BABYMETAL announces fifth album ‘Metal Forth’ with collaborations from Spiritbox, Poppy, and more: All to know

BABYMETAL has announced its new album called Metal Forth. This is reportedly their fifth album, set to be released on June 13, 2025.

The 10-track record comes after two years and will be a follow-up to their 2023’s The Other One. According to a report in Billboard, it will feature collaborations from artists such as Spiritbox, Polyphia, Bloodywood, Tom Morello, and Slaughter to Prevail. The band took to their Instagram handle on March 31, 2025, to share the news with their fans:

“BABYMETAL returns with METAL FORTH. The renowned Japanese metal band has signed to Capitol Records, which will release the album globally on June 13,” the post caption read.

That is not all, the Japanese kawaii metal band will be releasing a new single, From Me to U, on April 4, 2025, which is a part of their upcoming album. On the vocals, the group has collaborated with Poppy. The album also includes their 2024 single, Ratatata, featuring Electric Callboy. According to Babymetal’s official Instagram account, their upcoming album Metal Forth, which is set to release in June, will feature the following songs.

The band first formed in 2010 and released its debut album in 2014. As per Fandom, Kobametal, BABYMETAL’s producer, revealed that the name of the album came to him by a revelation. In Japanese, the word “Baby”(bebi) rhymes with “heavy” and “metal” and indicates intensity.

As per a report in NME, BABYMETAL has released their ‘Legend Map’ on their official Instagram account, including their upcoming singles and the dates of their future shows and tours. Announcing the news on the social media platform, they mentioned that they would be celebrating their 15th anniversary this year:

"A new revelation has been given by the FOX FOD. "Beyond HEAVY METAL" BABYMETAL's new Journey begins, as the band celebrates its 15th anniversary!!"

The band will be performing during the UK-Europe Arena Tour from May 13 to 30. Then, the band will head to The O2 in London on May 30, 2025, for their Special Arena Show in the UK. They will reportedly be joined by Poppy and Bambie Thug during their tour.

In July, they will then perform in North America from June 13, 2025, to July 23, 2025. Black Veil Brides, Jinjer, and Bloodywood will be joining them as special guests during their North America Tour 2025, as per their Instagram.

In August, they will be a part of the Japan Festival Tour. September to October they will be busy with the Asia Tour, November marks the Special Arena Show in the US and in 2026 the band has scheduled a Special Arena Show in Japan.
