The "Poker Face" singer, Lady Gaga, performed as the headliner for the second weekend at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival on Friday, April 18, 2025.

Her performance, just like the last time, during the first weekend at Coachella, stole the show; however, during Act 1, when she was delivering one of her early songs, her mic malfunctioned. The situation was quickly taken care of.

Later, on the piano, Gaga apologized to the audience about the mic glitch, saying:

''At least you know I sing live.''

Lady Gaga addressed the mic malfunction that happened at Coachella 2025

Lady Gaga was headlining the second weekend of the Coachella 2025 festival, and while she began her set, in Act 1, her mic malfunctioned.

She opened the set with Bloody Mary in a red ruffled gown, and while she was on it, the mic head started glitching, and it cut off. The mic malfunction happened when Gaga was in the air in a stage prop shaped like a dress.

And because she was not on the stage, it was a little difficult to get a replacement quickly. However, once she was on the stage and before making her way to the centre stage, she exchanged the broken mic for a regular handheld mic, before coming through the cage and starting "Abracadabra."

During all this, the performance didn't stop; she continued performing with a mic in one hand, even though only the backing vocals worked. She continued performing through her third song, "Judas," and then moved on to the fourth song, "Scheiße," with the handheld mic.

By the time she reached her fifth song, "Garden of Eden" from her 2025 studio album, Mayhem, the mic issue was cleared, and after that, the performance went smoothly till the end of the set. The mic malfunction happened right when Gaga was singing some of the much-anticipated tunes of her songs. However, she kept her cool and didn't miss a beat.

Later, while Lady Gaga was at the piano, she addressed the mic issue with the audience. She directly spoke to the crowd and said:

''I’m sorry my mic was broken for a second… at least you know sing live.''

She continued:

''I guess all we can do is our best and I’m certainly giving you my best tonight.''

Lady Gaga's performance at Coachella 2025 comes after eight years. She last performed at the festival back in 2017 when she had to replace Beyoncé. She performed many new songs from her album Mayhem, along with her classic hits like "Bad Romance" and "Poker Face."

Overall, Gaga's performance was wholesome, filled with a brilliant set list, costumes, and live singing.
