Rosé of BLACKPINK has been in the news headlines lately, from breaking records with her globally successful single, APT, featuring Bruno Mars, to performing at Coldplay’s Seoul concert. Now again, the BLACKPINK star has caused a stir amongst fans with her double AMAs nominations.
The American Music Awards, popularly known as the AMAs, shared their nomination list on Wednesday via their official website, and fans were pleasantly surprised to find Rosé nominated in two categories. Her hit song APT, featuring Bruno Mars, was nominated in the Collaboration of the Year category, and the singer was nominated for Favorite K-Pop Artist.
Although other K-pop artists like Jimin and RM of BTS, Ateez, and Stray Kids were nominated in the K-pop category of the award, Rosé was the only K-pop star to be nominated twice and in a category other than K-pop.
