Wilco is officially hitting the road in 2025 as the band has unveiled a new leg of its upcoming tour. The new North American leg is titled An August Evening with Wilco.

The announcement comes after the band's spring tour with Waxahatchee and their upcoming appearance at the Outlaw Music Festival alongside Bob Dylan and Willie Nelson. The new August run might be the perfect one for fans who prefer concerts featuring only Wilco's music without opening acts.

The new tour will start on August 5, 2025, in Philadelphia. It will feature more than a dozen dates across the U.S. and Canada and will have stops in multiple cities, such as Pittsburgh, Chicago, Denver, Vancouver, and Calgary.

According to reports, 'An Evening with Wilco' will see two full sets with an intermission, no supporting artists, and fan input on the setlist.

Wilco took to its official Instagram handle to share the new tour announcement, captioning:

Wilco's spring tour features guest artist Waxahatchee and a festival-style setup. However, the new August tour will just feature Wilco. Fans can expect two sets of music with performances from recent releases like Cousin (2023) and Hot Sun Cool Shroud (2024), to beloved old works like A Ghost Is Born (2004) and The Whole Love (2011).

How to get tickets

Tickets go on presale starting Wednesday, April 16, 2025 at 10 a.m. local time (with the code MOREWILCO). A general onsale will begin on Friday, April 18, 2025, at the same time via Ticketmaster.

It should be noted that Seattle's two-night stop has already sold out.

Wilco was formed in 1994 by singer-songwriter Jeff Tweedy. Some of their beloved albums are Yankee Hotel Foxtrot (2002) and A Ghost Is Born (2004).

The band's core members are bassist John Stirratt, multi-instrumentalist Pat Sansone, drummer Glenn Kotche, keyboardist Mikael Jorgensen, and guitarist Nels Cline.
