BRIT Awards are happening tonight, and we cannot wait to see what they have in store for us.
It has already been made clear that tonight will be a big night for Charli XCX, who holds five nominations across different categories, including Artist of the Year and Album of the Year for her groundbreaking record Brat.
There are quite a few records to be made, maintained, or broken this year, including Coldplay's record of winning the category of best group, as they hold 4 wins in the category.

1.Sabrina Carpenter's performance
Sabrina Carpenter became the first female artist to hold the top three positions at the same time with her megahits, Taste, Please Please Please, and Espresso.
After smashing records in the UK charts, she will be the first foreign singer to win the Global Success Award. As the first artist to accomplish so in 71 years, the pop sensation spent a total of 21 weeks at the top of the Official UK Charts in 2024.
Following her smashing performance at this year's Grammy Awards, the Espresso singer is set to make the same waves at the BRIT Awards with her performance. She is scheduled to go on the UK leg of her tour after the ceremony tonight.
2. Charli XCX's potential sweep
The winner of this year's Songwriter of the Year award, Charli XCX, was revealed before the awards ceremony had even started.
The singer could potentially sweep the award ceremony with wins in five more categories tonight: album of the year, pop act, dancing act, song of the year, and artist of the year.
Her longtime music partner, AG Cook, has also been honored, taking home the BRITs Producer of the Year award for the joint influence he and Charli XCX have had on music in the past 12 months.
3. Jack Whitehall to host after 4 years
Jack Whitehall has stated that he will perform his usual stunts at tonight's BRIT Awards.
The 35-year-old British comedian is hosting the Brits for the fifth time.
After assuming the position for four years in a row from 2018 to 2021, this will be his sixth time in charge overall and his first in four years.
Jack made fun of the people at their table, from getting drunk with Lizzo to calling up Jesy Nelson's Jamaican accent—to her face—causing some of the most famous Brits moments.
4. Records that could be broken
Having run for many years, the BRIT Awards has made records for all categories, with many artists holding various records. Similarly, tonight will be another opportunity for some artists to nab those records.
If Dua Lipa wins all four categories tonight, she will pass Coldplay and Take That to take third place. She could be one of the top three most-awarded artists in British history. With seven championships to her name, she is now ranked sixth in the league rankings.
Nominated for song of the year is the new Beatles song "Now And Then," composed and sung by John Lennon and subsequently finished by Sir Paul McCartney and Sir Ringo Starr, with George Harrison providing overdubs and guitar parts.
In 1977, the year of the first Brit Awards, the band won the best British album for Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band and was nominated for British Single of the Year for She Loves You. This is the band's first Brits nomination since then.
Along with The Last Dinner Party, Ezra Collective, Coldplay (who are also nominated for Song of the Year), and Bring Me The Horizon (who took home the 2024 award), The Cure received their first BRIT nominations in more than 30 years with three: Mastercard Album of the Year, Alternative / Rock Act, and Group of the Year.
Coldplay could potentially maintain their record as the only band to hold four BRIT awards for Best Group, with wins in 2001, 2003, 2012, and 2016. They have been nominated for the same category this year as well and will have the opportunity to maintain their record with a win in 2025. 5. Tribute to Liam Payne
At tonight's awards show in London, host Jack Whitehall will debut a film honoring the 31-year-old musician, who passed away in October 2024 after falling from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires.
The Brits have produced a video package that celebrates how incredible Liam was, according to a source who spoke to The Sun. They believe it would be appropriate for Jack, Liam's friend, to introduce the montage covering Liam's life and profession.

According to the source, it will feature snippets of his One Direction performance on The X Factor, along with some of his greatest solo and band performances. Despite the intensely emotional viewing, the British believe their creation will adequately portray Liam.
It was determined that the celebration would only be about Liam, despite rumors that Liam's One Direction colleagues, Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, and Zayn Malik, would rejoin to honor him.
