3BallMTY consists of Alberto Presenda (DJ Otto), Sergio Zavala (DJ Sheeqo), and Erick Rincon. The group started in 2009 and released their first record, Inténtalo, on December 6, 2011. The album was highly successful upon release, becoming a chart topper on Mexican charts.

This was followed by their second studio album, Globall, on April 8, 2014. The band talked about Globall in an exclusive interview with Remezcla on September 26, 2013, with Sheeqo stating:

"Globall is totally different. I think the genre [tribal] evolved a lot. Great collaborations were accomplished. We have Belinda, Espinoza Paz, Gerardo Ortiz, América Sierra once again, and we also collaborated with Li Saumet from Bomba Estéreo and many other artists like El Bebeto, whom you’ve heard on “Inténtalo.” ....

Band member Erik Rubicon also elaborated on the difference between their first studio and second studio album:

"There’s a huge difference between the new album and Inténtalo, because we didn’t make any songs on our own. It’s all collaborations, unlike the last record. But we’re planning to release a deluxe edition soon. I mean, the new album isn’t even out yet, but once it’s out there, we will later release a deluxe edition where we’ll include tracks of us as solo artists."...

3BallMTY has so far released three studio albums, with the last album, Somos, released on February 21, 2020. In the abovementioned exclusive Remezcla article, it is revealed that the group are set to release new music in the future.
