British Singer Rita Ora teases upcoming Voltron movie at 2025 Vanity Fair Oscars Party

British singer-songwriter Rita Ora recently opened up on her upcoming film, Voltron at the 2025 Vanity Fair Oscars Party on March 2, 2025.

While teasing her new film, Rita Ora spoke to Variety in a brief interview explaining her role. When the reporter tells her that she is unrecognizable in the film, she says

“I am. I cannot say too much about it as I have sworn to secrecy. But, I am very excited for everybody to find out.” Mentioning about the cast she reflects on the actors (including Sterling K. Brown and Henry Cavill) who will be playing a major role.

When Rita Ora is questioned about how she looks at them from an actor’s perspective, she says:

“They are just so talented. I have actually learned so much from them. They are very professional, extremely prepared, so its awesome.”

Rita Ora recently joined the cast of the live-action feature along with Sterling K. Brown and John Kim in November 2024, as indicated in a report by The Hollywood Reporter. Rawson Marshall Thurber is directing the film for Amazon MGM Studios and stars Henry Cavill and Daniel Quinn-Toye.

What is the upcoming sci-fi movie Voltron, starring Rita Ora, about?

Voltron is based on the Japanese anime television series Beast King GoLion and Kikou Kantai Dairugger XV, which inspired the 1980s American adaptation, Voltron: Defender of the Universe.

The series, which ran from 1984 -1985, according to IMDb, revolved around five lion robots and their pilots, their vehicles joined together to form a giant robot known as Voltron.

Reportedly, Todd Lieberman will produce the film via Hidden Pictures, Bob Koplar, Thurber, and Hobie Films’ David Hoberman. It is being directed from a script which director Rawson Marshall Thurber wrote along with Ellen Shanman, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

During VoltCon 2024, which marks the annual celebration of Voltron: Defender of the Universe, Voltron film director Thurber said in a video message, according to the outlet:

“I want to make sure that we stay true to the heart and the spirit of Voltron. In this film, we’re going to be introducing an entirely new generation of pilots. We’ve reimagined Voltron for the live-action world, but we’re going to stay true to … those iconic elements that you love, that I love.”

Rita Ora looked stunning at the Vanity Fair Oscar party as she wore a purple Prada gown to the event which had a unique texture and an elegant silhouette. Diamond jewellery perfectly complemented her look. Her overall outfit gave bold glamour vibes tailored to her personality and style.

According to a report in Deadline, the star-studded event was held at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts in Beverly Hills. Olivia Munn, Paris Hilton, Katy Perry, Ellie Goulding, Vanessa Hudgens, Elizabeth Hurley, Lindsay Lohan, Selena Gomez and more were among the celebs who were spotted at the party hosted by editor-in-chief Radhika Jones.
