Small Business Saturday is a holiday event marked on the Saturday following Thanksgiving. The event encourages shoppers to make purchases at local and small businesses and is a reminder of the shopping opportunities that exist right under our noses.

Small Business Saturday was created by American Express in 2010 and has been cosponsored by the Small Business Administration since 2011. This year’s event is being marked on November 30, 2024, and you have the chance to support a small business by shopping quality products for the Holiday season.

This year’s Small Business Saturday event is especially significant as the US Chamber of Commerce has partnered with American Express on a Small Business Hurricane Grant program to support small businesses impacted by hurricanes Helene and Milton.

To commemorate Small Business Saturday, American Express, on October 31, 2024, pledged to donate $1 for every purchase made on an American Express card at a qualifying small business on Small Business Saturday.
