As per Wendy’s official website, their medium fries contain 239 calories although that is subject to change.
Wendy's rapid growth began as a simple restaurant in 1969 and has since expanded into a fast-food empire around the world. So much so that by 1978, Wendy's had opened its 1000th location in Tennessee and was still expanding. The company's rise was almost unprecedented, thanks in large part to the franchising system, and the company went public shortly after. That took things to the next level, as they expanded globally, with locations in Europe and Asia. As of 2025, there are over 7000 outlets worldwide, most of which are in the United States.

About Wendy's
Wendy's, founded in 1969 by Dave Thomas, began as a modest restaurant that offered square patties on a circular bun, which led to the brand's quick growth in popularity. Thomas eventually christened the restaurant after his fourth child, and it quickly grew. They signed their first franchisee in 1972, and by 1978, the firm had launched its 1000th restaurant. This came when the business went public in 1976 and then joined the New York Stock Exchange in 1981.
The firm continued to flourish, and by the 1980s and 1990s, it had established chains in Germany, Korea, Greece, Turkey, Guatemala, and Italy. However, not all was perfect, as the firm faltered following its merger with Triarc Companies Inc. in 2008. This resulted in a name change to Wendy's/Arby's Group, but things changed again three years later when the company sold the bulk of its Arby's restaurants to Roark Capital Group.
In the process, it changed its name to Wendy's Company and started expanding into Argentina, the United Kingdom, and numerous other nations, including Australia.
