Put the mayo, mustard, and ketchup aside. A new condiment package has arrived in town.
The minds behind goods like Taylor Swift-themed ranch and burger dipping sauce, Kraft Heinz, have created another product that nobody requested, the portable Velveeta.
Vel2Go will be accessible on Walmart's website as of right now. Four 1.1-ounce packets of cheese are included in the limited-edition product's single package, which also includes tearable foil packaging.

To top it off, a yellow label that resembles a piece of American cheese is wrapped around each portion.
A press release from Velveeta claims that one in four Gen Zers and millennials carry their condiments with them to use in regular meals.
"However, the firm complains that, up until now, "cheese lovers are left dissatisfied due to lack of convenient, cheese condiments."
According to the release, Velveeta lovers have been encouraging to incorporate the cheese into dishes like nachos, hamburgers, veggies, and even a bowl of ramen.
"Now, with the launch of Vel2Go—the first on-the-go cheese packet on the market – the brand is making it easier than ever for fans to elevate any food item to satisfy those cheesy cravings – whether it be drive-thru fries or a stadium hot dog," continued the release.
Portable packets
There are many logistical issues with portable Velveeta cheese, particularly considering the product's propensity to solidify into a solid block when chilled.
The packets are "sold at room temperature" and do not require warming to "achieve the creamy Velveeta cheese fans know and love," according to Stephanie Vance, brand manager at Velveeta.

She stated that the customer experience should be "similar to squeezing a Heinz ketchup packet," but she did not disclose the physics underlying this formula's persistent liquid state.
The launch
According to Vance, Vel2Go's limited debut at Walmart will be used as a test to see how interested customers are in the packets for the time being. Although the concept of a lukewarm cheese spread might seem a little unsettling, one product graphic seems to offer a possible remedy: keeping the cheese packet in your back pocket until you're ready to eat.
This may be grabbed for people who frequently put together nachos while traveling.
About Velveeta
Velveeta is recognized for its longstanding presence in American cuisine. Originally developed as a way to repurpose extra cheese, Velveeta has been widely used in American households for decades.
Whey, milk, milk protein concentrate, modified starch, canola oil, and cheese culture are some of the ingredients used to make Velveeta, a shelf-stable cheese. It is bright orange, has a mild flavor, and a uniform texture.
In 1918, Swiss immigrant Emil Frey created this cheese-adjacent kitchen staple, at the Monroe Cheese Company to save scraps from broken cheese wheels. Velveeta is often used as a dip base due to its smooth melting properties. It's commonly recognized for its use as a cheese sauce in macaroni dishes.
In the pantry, an unopened box of the brand will be kept for two to three weeks after its expiration date, but after six months, its quality will begin to decline. After opening, keep Velveeta in the refrigerator for up to eight weeks in an airtight container.
Velveeta gained popularity during the Great Depression and World War II as an affordable protein source and a practical way to reuse leftovers. These qualities continue to make it a popular pantry item for many households today.
